- The fees listed on our site are the total costs unless you desire additional services such as catering, flowers, urns, bagpipes, etc., which we would arrange in advance.
Optionally, a gratuity left to the captain will be distributed to all staff for a job well done. - Can we mail cremated remains from out of town?
- Yes. Some carriers will not ship cremains due to liability restrictions - the US Postal Service has proven to be the best, fastest, and most reliable method. Please ship via Priority Mail with Certified Return Receipt Requested.

- Cruising time to and from the Golden Gate Bridge for the standard service takes just under an hour and a half. Angel Island is a little closer so the scattering service can be 10 - 15 minutes longer. For families that prefer more time, the yachts can be chartered for additional time in half-hour increments.
- What are the locations available for scattering at sea?
- Our primary scattering area is off the beautiful coast of San Francisco and Marin County beneath the Golden Gate Bridge. We also frequently scatter off the coast of Angel Island. We can hold scattering services anywhere in the bay upon request of the family as long as it is 500 yards off shore.
- What should we wear on the yachts?
- Weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend layers. It is a little cooler on the water, so most people wear long pants. We recommend against very high heels as it is easy to break a heel on docks.
- What type of vessel do you use for scattering?
- Our motor yachts, the 55ft MV Atlantis (25 passengers) and our 70ft MV Avalon (49 passegers) are US Coast Guard inspected vessels. Both have classic interior decor and wooden bow decks where most scatterings take place. We take great pride in our services and the condition of the Yachts. The crew is curtious, helpful and in uniform.
